Hi everyone, I have been having a clear out of cupboards and draws and came across this print of an encaustic art picture that I was commissioned to do in 198. I had forgotten all about it. So, as I have just re-discovered it I thought that you might like to share it with me. It is done using the hot brush attatchment.
You cover the entire sheet of encaustic art with the iron, then trace your picture on ordinary tracing paper. Place the tracing on the wax face up, and with your scribe tool trace over the picture, pressing on fairly hard. As you lift the tracing off, it lifts the wax off of the background, leaving you with a line drawing to colour in. Using your hot brush like a paint brush complete the picture.
Absolutely brilliant Barry, a great find!!
