A key holder for my new home
As well as finding a retail shop I have had to find somewhere new to live, the house I'm in at the moment has 9 rooms and I rattle about a bit. But lucky me the shop I have got has a flat above it, 2 birds with one stone as they say. So I have created this key hook. I bought the frame because it reminded me of a beach hut. So I painted it added the lines, stamped some Molly Bloom and stuck a photo of me aged 5 on a donkey. I think it works quite well.
Mininsewing book
Well September already, what a quick summer we have had. For the last 6 weeks I have been negotiating retail premises to open a craft shop. All of our married life my late wife and I dreamed of opening a craft shop, and at the age of nearly 60 I am going to live the dream and open BarjanB Crafts. I have found the perfect shop situated in the Leicestershire village of Newbold Verdon. There is plenty of room for the shop and a fabulous work room area . So I will be planning lots of demonstrations and classes for everyone to enjoy.I am waiting for solicitors to finalise everything, then it's all systems go.
The mini sewing book is a thank you gift for a dear friend, who has been a great help over the last few months, she will probably read this blog and not realise it is for her...... Thanks Mo! Hope you like it.

A Dog in Wax!
Hi everyone, I have been having a clear out of cupboards and draws and came across this print of an encaustic art picture that I was commissioned to do in 198. I had forgotten all about it. So, as I have just re-discovered it I thought that you might like to share it with me. It is done using the hot brush attatchment.
You cover the entire sheet of encaustic art with the iron, then trace your picture on ordinary tracing paper. Place the tracing on the wax face up, and with your scribe tool trace over the picture, pressing on fairly hard. As you lift the tracing off, it lifts the wax off of the background, leaving you with a line drawing to colour in. Using your hot brush like a paint brush complete the picture.

An altered box for special memories of Luffy 11
Hi everyone, I thought that you might like to look at the memory box that I have made to put my Luffy 11 special memories in. We have had the box for about 5 years and I wondered why we bought it at the time. Now I know. I have painted the box with a metalic water based paint, then put grunge paper swirls and letters and painted them in the same colour. The picture is from the Magic of Oz papers from Graphic 45.
